For more than 86 years the New Jersey Watercolor Society (NJWS) has prided itself as an organization of talented artists who, regardless of their differences, share a passion for water media. As a member of NJWS an artist can find community, inspiration and purpose. Many artists began their art careers within the empowering and supportive environment of our organization. We feel honored by that fact. Today, NJWS welcomes many accomplished watercolorists and painters who use various other water media. We hold three exhibitions annually, two of them virtual – with a third - the NJWS Open Juried Exhibition,
held in Middletown, NJ at the Middletown Arts Center.

As a non-profit organization, New Jersey Watercolor Society depends on membership fees, memorial endowments, and generous donations. The entire membership extends our gratitude to all donors and sponsors for their substantial support.
